The Charles B. Aycock Historic District is an intimate residential area featuring primarily early 20th century architecture. The neighborhood streets are lined with shade trees, two-story Queen Anne and foursquare houses and quaint bungalows.
Situated between downtown and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, College Hill is one of the oldest residential neighborhoods in the city. Many of the older homes have been restored and the neighborhood is undergoing a renaissance. The Southside neighborhood represents a distinctive revival of a turn of the 19th century neighborhood: It is a unique urban village in the heart of the city. Placed on the edge of downtown Greensboro's central business district, the Southside neighborhood provides residents with access to the amenities of a metropolitan city while still affording the feeling of a close-knit community.
